The Fair Bicycle Daily Hook Loading Strap is made from an old inner tube and won’t zip around you

Fair Bicycle launched the Daily Hook, a load strap that features an aluminum hook and uses a repurposed inner tube for elasticity.

The Swiss-made Daily Hook is said to be better than a typical bungee cord for securing items on your commuter bike or while bikepacking.

The Daily Hook features a CNC machined aluminum hook on each end. These are covered in grippy rubber and close with a stainless steel spring.

The hooks attach to stainless steel back plates, through which the butyl inner tube passes.

Fair Bicycle says the hook can fit around the widest racks.

The tube is mechanically attached to the hook, so it shouldn’t get lost if the tube breaks elsewhere, according to Fair Bicycle.

The brand claims that its Daily Hook won’t get tangled in parts of your bike, such as spokes, fall off or spring back and hurt you.

Additionally, Fair Bicycle claims that the Daily Hook’s appearance complements rather than compromises your works or gravel bike setup.

A butyl inner tube is also more durable than a textile cord, the company claims, and all parts of the Daily Hook are individually repairable or replaceable.

Loose items can be attached to a rear rack.

With the exception of the hook’s rubber coating, Fair Bicycle adds that all components are circular, which means they are recyclable at the end of their life.

The Daily Hook weighs the same (80g) as a typical bungee strap, according to Fair Bicycle.

The bracelet is said to be light but solid.

The hook is said to be 4x34x74mm and the tube is 106cm long unstretched and 242cm stretched.

The Daily Hook is available to buy now from Fair Bicycle for £58/€66/$66.
