Yeti SB140 and SB140 LR

After the recent launches of Yeti SB120 and the Yeti SB160, here is the Yeti 140mm trail bike. It looks like a really solid trail bike offering from The Big Turquoise Brand and we’re doing our best to get one for a decent amount of time for a proper review.

We had a brief trial of it about a week ago, but that wasn’t really long enough to say anything particularly insightful about it!

Trail bike? Yes and…

wild orbea

The brand’s new enduro electric bike. As often seems the case, Orbea is arguably a step ahead of most other brands when it comes to meeting the real wishes of cyclists.

Well, other than the cable routing through the headset, but hey.

Wild Orbea 2023

beyond power

Wild’s perfect balance of geometry, kinematics, performance and lightness, combined with the range and power of the new Bosch CX-R and CX motor systems, takes the e-bike category to full power to new heights.

The new Wild is above all an enduro bike where everything has been designed with a clear objective: performance on the trails. Geometry, kinematics, stiffness and weight make it the best enduro bike.

Built-in battery for maximum performance.

The new Wild is 51% stiffer than its predecessor and up to 32.5% lighter, with a complete bike weight under 21kg.

In addition, all models are offered with the choice of two battery options: 750 Wh or 625 Wh.

The new Wild is looser and longer than ever. Its 64° head angle and 450mm reach (size M), 25mm more than its previous version.

For the steepest climbs, the seat angle of 77.5°. Wild has been designed with the shortest chainstays in its class: 448mm in all sizes.

Steep and deep concept. That is to say: the possibility of mounting long-travel telescopic seatposts.

The new Wild features 160mm of rear travel, while users can choose a 160mm or 170mm fork via MyO.

The biggest changes come in the middle of the journey, where there’s more support than its predecessor.

While all Wild models include air shocks, its progressiveness makes it compatible with coil shocks.

SIC stem

Bosch’s new Mini Remote offers wireless control and the sealed internal cables, SIC system provides a cleaner and quieter cockpit than ever before.

With the SIC system, cables are routed through a spacer in the helmet, reducing visual distractions, noise and cable movement while ensuring cable entry and exit points are fully sealed. Thanks to the design of this system, it is easier than ever to change a cable, a stem or a handlebar. The only time extra work would be required would be to change the bearings on the headset, and to ensure this doesn’t happen very often the top bearing is stainless steel to give the longest life.

In order to protect the frame, Orbea integrates a Spin Block limiter for the rotation of the headset.

A final key detail is the ergonomic charging port, a detail that is so often overlooked.

Also available in aluminum.

RRP: £5,299 – £10,999

The new TR 11 frame is aluminum, so throw it in the truck or smash through a rock garden without hesitation. It has shown its capability and versatility on Alaska’s biggest lines, RedBull Rampage, the UCI World Cup DH series, Whistler bikepark and just about everything in between.

Colab Cotic x Never Strays Far

Cotic has collaborated with David Millar and Conor Brady to bring you this weekend a unique art bike in the colors of the Velopark Cyclocross National Trophy Nov 2022.

Colab Cotic x Never Strays Far

I [Cotic Cy] I was able to talk to David a few months ago about a more general collaboration, but we were both excited to do something cool and special to celebrate the first event supported by Never Strays Far. Conor is the brilliant graphic designer behind Never Strays Far’s look and fantastic artwork supporting this weekend’s race. Our in-house graphic designer Kelvin worked with Conor to make his vision a reality in bike form, and our amazing light wrangler Richard Baybutt is responsible for the photos.

This is the result…..

Holding light stands atop a Peak District hill in 40mph winds not pictured. No van was (seriously) damaged during the making of these photos….

The bike is based on our current Reynolds 853 tubed Escapade gravel bike – already in limited edition. This is what we at Cotic call a Life Bike. A subtle steel bike that fits perfectly into your life, for work, pleasure or escape. It will take you to the office, to the shops, on vacation, to the hills, on an adventure or just to that quiet place where you have some head space.

Super versatile, the Escapade is a road bike without limits. A gravel bike for the lighter side of life. Disc brakes all around. Drop bars. 650b tires, big and floating, or 700c, narrow and fast. All accessories for two bottles, rear rack, fork-mounted luggage and full mudguards are included, because why limit yourself and your bike to just one thing?

For the construction, an Italian touch is integrated with Campagnolo EKAR, expertly supported by HUNT wheels. WTB tires and saddle to bring some CX sensibility to the build. As with every Cotic bike, it has been assembled at our base in the UK. It has been custom painted by Five Land Bikes (the same people responsible for our UK made RocketMAX enduro frames) and is truly unique.
