A pedal pub on the streets of Winnipeg for summer fun
A first-of-its-kind party bike pub crawl is gearing up to take beer lovers to Winnipeg’s best watering holes.
Winnipeg Pedal Pub is a new venture that will take thirsty patrons around the pubs of the Stock Exchange and Osborne village on a custom 15-seater powered bike.
“Summer in Winnipeg is sacred and people crave new experiences that they can have while it’s hot,” said Rylan Adamone of three Pedal Pub Winnipeg partners.
“We are going to give Winnipeggers a new way to see the city and enjoy our local breweries, pubs and sites.
Pedal Pub is a franchise that started in Minneapolis in 2007. It is currently expanding to the United States and to Calgary, Saskatoon and three destinations in Ontario.
The service partners with local micro-breweries to serve beer to customers, but no alcohol will be served on board. A typical tour will visit up to four breweries, restaurants or pubs where guests will have the opportunity to sample craft beers or other beverages of their choice at each stop.
“Based on similar locations in Winnipeg, we anticipate spending an estimated $1,200 at local businesses per visit, which will provide a much-needed revenue boost to our tourism industry which has been particularly hard hit by the pandemic” , said a partner. Brandon Guenther.
“People are ready to try new things, and our bikes are sure to turn heads and leave people smiling long after they’ve landed.”
Pedal Pub Winnipeg officially opens on Saturday June 4th. Reservations are currently being accepted online.
